Hi and welcome to my website! I go by both Jinyue and Jerry so feel free to choose whichever you find comfortable. I graduated from Tsinghua University majoring in Environmental Engineering and obtained my master degree at Stanford Civil & Environmental Engineering. I am currently pursuing PhD degree at Princeton WET lab. I am always excited by research that tackles environmental problems, and that provides a better living environment for our future generations. My primary research interests lie in microbial electrochemical systems, resource recovery from wastewater and water-energy nexus. Apart from my research, I am broadly interested in microbiology, molecular biology and electrochemistry.

In my free time, I enjoy swimming, badminton and indoor rock climbing. I am a symphonic band enthusiast and was the principal saxophone and president of Tsinghua University Symphonic Band (THUMB). Founded in 1916, THUMB is one of the first western bands in China. During my time as the president of the band, I proudly organized its inaugural overseas performance at University of Washington.
